Catalog Management (CatMan)

Catman represents high performance solution for building and managing multi supplier e-catalogs and price lists thus enabling connection to B2C portals as backend. Currently used as hosting solution at the biggest Slovenian Internet service provider Siol

Technology: Microsoft Visual Studio, database: Microsoft SQL Server 2000

Basic idea: to provide central e-market place gathering large number of suppliers and distributors and offer total manipulation over price lists and virtual catalogues thus making complex business logic totally transparent to end users.

Virtual price lists and catalogues - system allows creation of main price list and catalogue, or by inheriting catalogue of another supplier/distributor, which will make it virtual. In addition, there is also opportunity to make decisions over price logic, which works transparently in real time. All users can concurrently take part in offer in master catalogue, which can be a way out to another B2B or B2C portal.
Attributes - creation of dynamic attributes and values assigned to articles is allowed, with feature to keep basic relations from master catalogue, leaving capability to perform advanced search over all articles regardless their state (virtual or defined).
Advanced Import mechanism - Catman features strong article import system from Microsoft Excel, CSV format or by using BmeCat protocol, all allowed over standard web interface with opportunity to map all necessary columns between data.
