The server architecture makes minimal demands on the server operating system. As a result, HansaWorld Business Solutions has found it simple to develop software for multiple operating platforms, making Hansa as near to open-platform as it is possible to be in the modern world.
Hansa server software can be run on the following operating systems and hardware:
- Linux - runs native on most Linux releases, without reliance on a graphical interface. The Linux version can be run on most servers, from desktop to mainframe, including all IBM eServers.
- Windows NT/2000 - on PCs.
- UNIX - primarily A/IX, for IBM pSeries, or running under PASE on IBM iSeries; contact us at hansaworld@micro-bs.com for information on other UNIX compilations.
- OS400 - the DB2 database version runs native on OS400, the operating system for IBM iSeries.
- Macintosh OS X - runs native on Jaguar or earlier versions, on G4s or Xserves.
